Visual Art, Exhibitions & Affordable Art

Throughout the year, Prema hosts exhibitions of artist’s work. Our exhibition programme covers most art forms and studio practice –illustration, print, ceramics, glass, mixed media, painting, photography and installation (as well as all the hybrids in between). We use the Upstairs Room as our main gallery and then the Red Room for smaller, more intimate wall-based media. Ceramic and glass artists generally use the Showcase for displaying more delicate and/or smaller scale work.

Our exhibitors come from all corners of the UK and we strive to curate balanced shows, in which the work of the different makers has a synergy or provides a delicious counterpoint. Often the work is playful, sometimes challenging but always providing something really quite different to entertain and provoke thought and discourse.
