Tonight we offer a dazzlingly diverse programme of contemporary folk arts which have tradition and folk at their very core. An evening of dance, of song, storytelling and a glimpse into the history of some of the most time-honoured and warmly regarded folk-arts performance practices.

We can look forward to thrilling Morris dancing displays from the mixed Miserden Morris who dance in the Cotswold tradition with dances from Gloucestershire. Dizzying displays of stick dances, hanky dances and corner dances – with routines from the villages of Oddington, Sherborne, Bledington & Longborough!

They are joined on stage (although not at the same time) by the much regarded and celebrated Boss Morris; a group of female creatives supported by professional musicians who share a progressive vision of morris dancing as a means to increase social engagement and interest in this unique and ancient folk dance. They take joy in both learning and sharing traditional Cotswold morris dances collected in the early 1900s and choreograph their own inspired dances to modern music and electronic tracks.

Additional attractions include clogging from Lesley Thackeray (of Sabotage Morris) and a full evening line of live music from Debra Hannis as well as renowned musicians Sam Sweeney (one of the finest fiddle players of his generation and a member of Bellowhead & Leveret, Rob Harbron  “concertina wizard” and member of Leveret, he is renowned for his highly individual and harmonic style of playing. and the wonderful  fiddle player Miranda Rutter is one fourth of the quartet Methera who many of you will know from their breathtaking gig here at Prema (and also at Ruskin Mill).

What a line-up! What an evening! Tickets are limited so book now to avoid disappointment.
